1. Who is responsible

2. What we collect

Only two things:

What you send us. If you use the contact form or email us, we receive the name, company, email address, website (if you provide it), subject and message you write.
Technical data from the web server. Our hosting provider records standard server logs: IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request. These exist for security and to keep the site running.

What we do not collect: no analytics, no advertising pixels, no social media trackers, no profiling, no cookies, and no data from third-party fonts or embedded content — because the site loads none of them. See the cookie policy for how you can verify this yourself.

3. Why, and on what legal basis

To answer your enquiry and, if it leads to work, to prepare and manage the engagement. Legal basis: your consent when you submit the form, and the performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps.
To keep the site secure and to investigate abuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in protecting the service.
To comply with legal obligations (for example, accounting and tax records for invoices). Legal basis: legal obligation.

We do not send newsletters and we do not use your data for marketing. If that ever changes, it will require your separate, explicit consent.

We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. The only categories of recipient are:

Our hosting provider, which stores the site and processes form submissions on our behalf as a processor.
Professional advisers (accountant, lawyer) where strictly necessary, and only for the part that concerns them.
Public authorities, where we are legally required to respond.

Where personal data is transferred from the European Union to the United States, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses with our providers, together with technical measures such as encryption in transit.

5. How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to work: deleted after twelve months.
Client and contract data: kept for the duration of the relationship and afterwards for as long as the law requires (typically six years for accounting records), then deleted.
Server logs: kept by the hosting provider for a short, defined period and then rotated.

6. Your rights

You have the right to:

access the personal data we hold about you;
have inaccurate data corrected;
have data deleted, where no legal obligation requires us to keep it;
restrict or object to processing based on our legitimate interest;
receive your data in a portable format, where technically feasible;
withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of what was done before;
complain to a supervisory authority — in the EU, the authority of your country of residence; in the US, the relevant state or federal authority.

To exercise any of them, write to info@aetherstewardship.com. We answer without delay and, in any case, within the period the law allows.

7. Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Access to enquiry data is limited to the people who need it to do the work, and credentials are kept in a password manager with two-factor authentication. No system is perfect; if a breach affects you, we will tell you.

8. Automated decisions

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not use it to train machine learning models.
