Accessibility statement

1. Our commitment

This site aims to meet WCAG 2.1 level AA. That is not a slogan: the colour combinations, the type sizes and the interaction patterns were chosen to pass those criteria, and the contrast ratios were calculated rather than estimated.

2. What this site does

  • Every text and background combination meets or exceeds 4.5:1; the lowest body-text ratio on the site is 4.99:1.
  • Borders of form fields meet 3:1 against their background, so the fields are visible without relying on colour alone.
  • The whole site works with a keyboard, including a skip link to the main content, and the focus indicator is always visible.
  • Each page has one h1 and headings in order; the page language is declared; every image with meaning has alternative text and decorative images are marked as such.
  • The site is built without JavaScript, so nothing depends on scripts loading correctly.
  • Animations are minimal and respect the "reduce motion" setting of your system.
  • Text can be zoomed to 200% without loss of content or horizontal scrolling, and the layout adapts to narrow screens.
  • Interactive targets are at least 44 × 44 pixels.

3. Known limitations

  • We cannot test every combination of browser, operating system and assistive technology. We test with keyboard-only navigation, a screen reader and automated contrast checks.
  • The site uses three decorative background videos. They are silent and carry no spoken content, so they communicate nothing on their own and need no captions; a still image takes their place automatically when your system requests reduced motion.
  • The legal texts are long by nature. Each one has an index at the top to make them navigable, but they are still dense documents.

4. Tell us what is broken

If you meet a barrier on this site, write to info@aetherstewardship.com describing what you were trying to do and what happened. We answer as soon as we can, and we fix confirmed issues as quickly as possible — or we offer you the information in another format in the meantime.
